Okay, so before you read this, cue Wiz Khalifa’s ‘Black and Yellow’ because literally no other track could possibly go with this little experience last weekend (I’ve even gone to the effort of adding a link in there for you)…
We all remember our early morning shoot with BULL; Shaun’s Lamborghini Murcielago LP640-4 (for those who don’t, you can find the article here). It is most definitely one of the most aggressive yet elegant supercars ever to grace the streets of Adelaide, and since tracking it down in March this year, we couldn’t stay away from it. AccuAir suspension, RSV Forged MS10s, Liberty Walk body modifications and a 6.5 Litre V12 makes this a favourite at our events, and never fails to draw crowds similar to the Adelaide Airport on the day of a One Direction concert.
What we never knew, however, was that BULL had a friend living in the same garage…
On a sunny Saturday morning (unlike the torrential rain experienced during the last encounter with the black Murcielago), the quiet streets of Port Adelaide were introduced to the sound of not one, but two 6.5L V12s as they rumbled into Adelaide’s historic industrial precinct. In rolls BULL, and close in tail, another Murcielago; this one in yellow. The duo parked, and the shooting began.
Another NSW purchased Lamborghini; this Murcielago had received a bit of work since arriving in Adelaide. The car was purchased with some minor dents and scratches and issues with the rear differential, but it wasn’t long until the yellow bull was gracing the Adelaide roads much like its darker counterpart. Shaun reports that this one is remarkably quicker than its twin, despite it also being significantly quieter (let’s be real though, there’s no such thing as a quiet Lamborghini).
Kane from Aus Exotics (you may know his matte orange wrapped C63 AMG) had the experience of a lifetime handling the yellow Murcielago (he’ll be posting a video about his Lamborghini experience on his YouTube channel soon), whilst I enjoyed riding shotgun in BULL. What can I say about scooting around Adelaide in an excessively powerful and unique supercar? Well it was definitely an experience. Getting in and out of the beast was a challenge in itself! The sheer power of these cars is enough to make a grown man weep with excitement; but actually sitting in one bring it all together, and now I feel compelled to own one. Consequently, I immediately added it to my Forza garage upon my return home because that’s about as close as I’m getting to owning one of these.
For now, let’s just drool over the car porn within the gallery below whilst we change our underpants.
